I have been baking and decorating cakes for many years now, having started by making my daughter a butterfly cake for her 2nd birthday. I had wonderful compliments from family and friends and this spurred me on to attend evening sugarcraft classes and learn how to make wonderful sugar flowers and decorate cakes. As I grew in confidence and attempted more complex cakes, word spread and I was always being asked by friends and acquaintances to make cakes for birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, weddings and other special occasions. I have finally decided to make a business out of this passion of mine and am delighted to be able to start Caked In Glory. I firmly believe that fresh, good quality ingredients are all it takes to make delicious cakes, so I never stint on these. I always use free range eggs and the finest chocolate for instance. My cakes are truly homemade but decorated to professional standards so you get the best of both worlds.
